Advanced Tax Centre is a firm of Enrolled Agents who are federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service regarding all types of tax problems from audits, collections and through appeals. Additionally, some of the tax preparers of our firm have attended the National Tax Practice Institute which is an intense course in working for the taxpayer to deal with their problems with the IRS. Our collective success rate in resolving problems has been exceptionally high.
Twila Denton Midwood, EA
Twila became an Enrolled Agent in June 2003 after working in the tax and accounting business since 1990. After graduating from Rollins College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, she began working with her father, Jim of “Denton’s Bookkeeping Service”. Upon his retirement in 1998, she purchased his business, then in 2004 merged her practice with Advanced Tax Centre, Inc., where she is now the President. Her professional affiliations are as a National Tax Practice Institute Fellow, member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA) and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). Twila serves as a Director on the NAEA 2017/2018 Board of Directors, was the 2016/2017 President of the Space Coast Chapter of FSEA and the 2014/2015 President of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents. Twila has presented educational seminars for FSEA, local FSEA chapters and other community events. She also appeared on the IRS Webinar Tax Talk Today” show in Washington, DC. Twila and her husband, Steve have 2 children – Greg and Mark and three grandchildren. Twila specializes in individual, corporate, partnership, estates & trust tax returns, small business accounting as well as IRS representation.
James A. Naff, EA
After working primarily in the mortgage, consumer finance and banking industry for many years, Jim opened his own tax and accounting service in 1975, passing the two day extensive Enrolled Agent’s test in 1977. In January 2002, he merged his practice with Advanced Tax Centre, Inc. Jim attended Brevard Community College and Rollins College in tax and financial studies. His professional affiliations are as a National Tax Practice Institute Fellow; member of National Association of Enrolled Agents, the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents and the National Society of Accountants. He volunteered for many years for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Association (VITA) as an instructor. Jim served in the US Marines and in the US Air Force. He and his wife, Linda, have a daughter Tanya, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren living in Canada. Their son, Jim is deceased. Jim specializes in Individual taxes including expatriate and foreign earned income taxes, estates and trusts, small business, partnerships, corporations and IRS representation.
Sarah B. Kedzierski, EA
Sarah is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of the University of NC. She graduated with a BA in Math and a Doctorate of Dental Sciences. She was awarded her Phi Beta Kappa key in 1978. After moving to Florida to care for aging members of her family, she changed her career to taxation. She received her Enrolled Agent license from the IRS in 2003. Sarah specializes in the taxation of trusts and estates. She enjoys working with the aging population to ensure that the transfer of assets to their heirs occurs smoothly and with minimal taxation. She is committed to helping all members of the family during the process. She does so with compassion, attention to detail and timeliness. Sarah is an Accredited Retirement Advisor and a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Florida Society of Enrolled Agent and National Taxpayers Association. Sarah served as the 2015/2016 Secretary of the Space Coast Chapter of Enrolled Agents. Sarah and her husband Mark live in a military retirement community with their rescued lab, Maggie. They enjoy bicycling, tennis, swimming and travel.
Edith “Ann” Shroll, EA
Ann became an Enrolled Agent in 1978 after being self-employed in the tax field beginning in 1970. She had her own tax business until 2002 when she merged her practice with Advanced Tax Centre. Ann received an associate degree in Accounting and another in Business Administration from Brevard Community College in 1990. Her professional affiliations are as a National Tax Practice Institute Fellow; member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents. She served both organizations moving through the ranks of offices and was elected President of Florida and the National Association as well as serving on many committees and task forces. She was the recipient of the NAEA Founder’s Award in 2001 (the highest honor bestowed on a member by NAEA). She has taught tax classes at many seminars and workshops including the IRS VITA program. She also appeared on the IRS Webinar “Tax Talk Today” show in Washington, DC. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Low Income Tax Clinic, a project under the direction of the Taxpayer Advocate Service and the Florida Legal Society. Ann and her husband, Ken (also an Enrolled Agent) have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. After over 40 years in the business, Ann retired in 2015 to enjoy time and travels with Ken. Ann’s contributions to the profession and the National & State Organizations has been invaluable. For that, we will be forever grateful.
Edward F. Chambers, EA
Ed became an Enrolled Agent in 1996 after being self-employed in his own tax and accounting business since 1986. He merged his practice with Advanced Tax Centre in 2002. Ed is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. His professional affiliations are as a National Tax Practice Institute Fellow; member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents. He was the 2013/2014 Treasurer of the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida Society. Ed served in the US Army retiring from the service in 1986. Ed and his wife Lynn have two children and two grandchildren. In July, 2016 Ed retired from Advanced Tax Centre, Inc. to spend more time with family and traveling.
